Announcements...

  • Weather cancellation policy. Practical exams will not be cancelled due to inclement weather. If you feel the driving conditions are unsafe, do not come. Testing fees will be refunded as long as you contact Region 1 prior to the exam date.
  • Late registration fees. Normally, exam registration is closed on the Wednesday 10 days prior to the exam date. For example, registration for an exam scheduled for February 17th would close on February 7th. Region 1 will now accept registrations from the Wednesday deadline through the end of the following Monday provided that the exam is not already closed. A late registration fee will be applied. The new schedule of fees is:

Basic exams - $60 if in time; $100 if late

First responder exams - $50 if in time; $80 if late

Retests - $10 if in time; $15 if late

No registrations will be accepted after the Monday deadline.
  • Do you want to help out as an evaluator, patient or EMT assistant at upcoming exams? Download this form , fill it out and return it to the address at the bottom.
  • The next practical exam is coming up on May 17, 2008. Please mark the date on your calendar and if you want to help out please contact NH Region 1 Council at registrations@nhregion1ems.org.
  • ID's now required at practical exams. All participants testing at a practical exam are now required to present a photo ID when registering at the exam site on the day of the exam. If you don't have a photo ID, two forms of non-photo ID will be acceptable.
  • Only original copies of RTP course completion certificates will be accepted by National Registry. The National Registry will now only accept original copies of the RTP course completion certificates from the state. The state will not issue the course completion certificate until after the practical exam has been completed. Allow two weeks after the practical exam to receive your certificate. See state memo.
  • Don't like to take RTP's. Take the NR written exam instead. You can now opt out of the usual RTP by successfully passing the National Registry's written exam. See this state memo for step-by-step instructions for doing this.
